| Toilet Rebate Program | |

Only WaterSense certified toilets that use 1.28 gallons per flush (gpf) or less will qualify for a rebate. The current rebate amount is $100.00 per toilet. The option for a $50.00 rebate for toilets using 1.6 gpf ended on December 31, 2011. Only single family residential homes built before 1993 are eligible for the rebate for a maximum of two toilets per household. Also, only toilets purchased after September 28, 2007, are eligible for the rebate. The rebate is a lump sum amount as stipulated above and excludes the Georgia sales tax, additional installation parts, or labor costs. Funds for this program are limited, but the County's intention is to set aside funds for the rebate program each year. Rebates will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. Customers who do not receive rebates this year are encouraged to reapply next year provided funds are available. |

| Multifamily Toilet Rebate Program | |
| Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources also began offering a Multifamily Toilet Rebate Program on January 1, 2012. Through this program, apartment, condominium and townhome complexes are now eligible for toilet rebates. Building owners or homeowners associations may qualify to receive a $100 rebate for each old toilet replaced with a new Watersense certified toilet, up to 250 toilets per complex.

| Toilet recycling | |
| Gwinnett County residents now have a free option for recycling old toilets. As part of our Toilet Rebate Programs, the Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources is offering toilet recycling to homeowners and renters. Bring your old porcelain toilets to the Department of Water Resources Central Facility located at 684 Winder Highway in Lawrenceville for recycling. You must remove the toilet seat and any plastic or metal parts, including handles. Access is only available from the Hosea Road entrance. There will be signs directing you to the collection bin.
